Our Story

In the heart of Nairobi lies Kibera, often described as Africa’s largest slum. For many children growing up here, life begins with obstacles. Poverty is high, and food is not always guaranteed. Basic items like soap or clean clothes can be hard to come by. And in neighborhoods where drugs and crime are close by, the wrong path is never far away.

When I visited Kibera for the first time, it wasn’t the poverty that stayed with me most; it was the children. They were warm, joyful, and full of life. They smiled easily. They laughed loudly. They welcomed me without hesitation.
But behind those smiles is a harder truth. Many of these children are growing up without steady support or guidance. Many may never get the chance to leave Kibera. Some will be pulled into the cycles of drugs and crime simply because those are the options around them. Thinking about what their future might look like was heartbreaking. I knew I couldn’t just walk away.

I also learned that for many students, school provides the most reliable meal of the day. When the weekend comes, that meal often disappears. And while large needs like housing and education are discussed, small but important things like soap, underwear, and basic hygiene supplies are often overlooked.

That is why we are starting with something simple but powerful.

We are launching a structured soccer tournament that brings together four local schools in Kibera. But it's more than just a game: it an effort to bring nourishment, joy, and hope into the lives of children who need it most.

Every child who participates will receive:
     🥕 A nutritious meal
     🧼 Essential personal care supplies
🫂 Access to mentors who offer encouragement and guidance

Our vision is to host these tournaments regularly, where we create a safe, consistent space where young people can grow. On the field with a meal in hand they get to be kids again, and for them, that makes all the difference.
